HISTORY
- The Chisholm Trail traveled through Main Street.
- Guests vary from Sam Houston to Jesse James at the Stagecoach Inn, the 2nd oldest hotel in Texas. One of the original stagecoaches is still visible on property.
- The Baines House, was built in 1866 by Reverend Baines who pastored the First Baptist Church in Salado. He was the great-grandfather of Lyndon Baines Johnson.
